Exposing Two-Tier Policing: My Battle Against the Left's Hypocrisy in Portsmouth

 

I’d like to share a true story.

 

When I was campaigning to become a local councillor in Central Southsea, Portsmouth, I encountered the kind of political double standards that should concern every native of this country. My local Labour councillor Charlotte Gerada, is married to Aaron Bastani, a well-known left-wing journalist who co founded the communist, left wing media group Novara Media. Bastani is infamous for his radical views & as I recently pointed out, for his involvement in the London riots of 2011, a time when he was filmed smashing up a bank, destroying property & terrorising ordinary people. Children & the elderly were left frightened by the chaos he helped incite. When I shared this video & simply asked the people of Portsmouth whether these were the kind of influences we want on our city council, I had no idea I was about to be vilified.

 

The reaction was swift, disproportionate. Instead of addressing the legitimate concerns I raised, the police showed up at my door. I was accused of harassing & stalking Charlotte Gerada—a baseless charge that had no merit. The police themselves admitted that no crime had taken place. They were there to give me a "verbal telling off," nothing more. No official action was taken, no warnings issued. But the message was clear: if you dare to speak out against those in power, especially if they lean left, you can expect a knock on your door.

 

Under pressure & wanting to avoid further unnecessary drama, I agreed to delete the posts. But the situation escalated just a few days later when Charlotte Gerada posted on Facebook, saying her solicitor had sent me multiple letters, I wasn’t leaving her alone, then going on to accuse me of stalking her & sharing pictures of her child online. These accusations were not only false, but deeply harmful. She even went so far as to compare me to the man who murdered Jo Cox, a tragic & horrifying event that should never be trivialised or used for political gain. All because I had the audacity to question her husband’s history of violence, I was painted as some kind of monster. It was beyond belief.

 

The slander didn’t stop there. Gerada’s post fuelled a firestorm of outrage. Nurses from my local hospital, as well as local councillors, began demanding that I be named & shamed. Some even suggested that I was the reason they felt unsafe taking their children to local parks. It was a classic case of gaslighting—manipulating the truth to make the victim seem like the perpetrator. But when I reported these dangerous lies to the police, the response was dismissive. I was told it was a civil matter, something they couldn’t get involved in.

 

This is where the double standards become glaringly obvious. The police were more than willing to visit my home, my mother’s home & even inquire about my workplace & children’s school, all because I criticised a left-wing politician. But when that same politician slandered me publicly, putting my safety & reputation at risk, the police couldn’t be bothered. A single sentence in an email was all I received, telling me it wasn’t their problem.

 

This experience has shown me firsthand the reality of two-tier policing, not long before it became a national issue. When you challenge the establishment, especially the left-wing establishment, you can expect the full force of the law to come down on you. But when those on the left cross the line, the same law suddenly becomes impotent.

 

As I continue this local battle for National justice, I will not be silenced & neither will you. The people of our country need patriots who will stand up against hypocrisy, fight for fairness & expose the rot at the heart of our political system & society.

 

The time for being bullied into silence is over. It’s time for us to speak out, to stand tall & to demand justice, for the future that was taken from our children & their children…
