Campaigning and Engagement

Although the Party has only just been formally convened, some of those already involved in it have had the opportunity to engage in campaigning for similar causes and to engage in work supporting their communities, both local and national.

On Saturday 16th March, a formal dinner took place which included members of the Party, organisers and participants in the campaign against RAF Scampton being turned into an asylum centre (which has been running since April of 2023), and people in Lincolnshire who have been engaged in various types of community-based enterprise and support work, such as:

  • Providing work training and experience to the disadvantaged

  • Developing farmland and abandoned businesses with a view to make them productive enterprises

  • Creating, staffing and operating food banks

These kinds of activities should be supported by the Party because they are fully in line with the true nationalist concept of helping our people, to help themselves. One of the speeches of the evening was delivered by the Party Leader, Alek Yerbury, who talked about why the Party had to be formed, and why our people need to be driven to recognise their very real ability to help themselves.

Successful community and personal enterprises

The enterprises undertaken by some of the attendees are productive examples of positive engagement, and have enabled those people to not only improve their own lives, but also to improve the lives of others around them. The single biggest resource that has gone into making these enterprises successful is not money, but time. Through hard work, the lack of most other things can be overcome. Some examples of the enterprises that are operating are as follows:

  • A scheme to provide training and employment for disadvantaged people, who otherwise have no ability to gain workplace qualifications

  • The creation of a sustainable farm that provides a supply of meat, dairy and vegetables for a community food bank and outreach project

  • The re-development of a derelict communal site by turning it into a legitimate business enterprise

These kinds of activities are talked about prolifically, especially in nationalist politics, but often they remain theories and ideas and do not ever get brought into reality. The success of these enterprises in Lincolnshire is proof that even without external input of money or resources, and in most cases even without mass advertising, it IS possible to make a difference on both a personal level AND a collective one. Remembering that true enterprise is something that benefits both the self AND society as a whole.
